About

Matthew Mulloy, MD, Surgical Director of Adult and Pediatric Abdominal Transplant Surgery at Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children's Hospital, is a multi-organ transplant surgeon with seven years of experience treating adult and pediatric transplant patients. Dr. Mulloy is experienced in liver, kidney and kidney-pancreas transplantation, and he is a national leader in minimally invasive and robotic living kidney donation. He performed the world’s first robotic trans-abdominal transplant nephrectomy, which he later published in the American Journal of Transplantation.

Dr. Mulloy earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. He completed his general surgery internship and residency training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Mulloy completed a cardiac surgery research fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Additionally, he completed his abdominal transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Alabama - Birmingham. Dr. Mulloy is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery, and he is a member of the American Association for Transplant Surgeons.
